Can you remember the ‘Peers from your Years’ at Badminton?

We would like to introduce you to a very exciting new function which we have introduced to our Badminton Archive! We are delighted to have recently implemented a state-of-the-art new software programme, aimed at our alumnae, to help you recognise, identify and name former pupils and staff in our Whole School photographs!

‘WhoZatFace’ is a facial tagging system which allows our community to add a name to a face they recognise in a photograph which will then be recorded in our archives.

WhoZatFace can be accessed by logging in to your Old Badmintonian account via our main school website:

 Badminton Alumnae Website

Once you are logged in, please select the ‘archive’ tab at the top of the page and select ‘browse’. You will see the WhoZatFace option and, once opened, you are able to look through all the photographs

We are thrilled to introduce this to you as we truly believe it will greatly benefit the richness and give detail to the fabric of our archive and alumnae records.
Our alumnae community remain such a valued and integral part of Badminton School and we are confident this programme will strengthen and embed those relationships, allowing us to further expand and enhance our community and to preserve the history of Badminton School.

Can you remember the ‘Peers in your Years’? Perhaps you can name a favourite Teacher! You might even spot yourself!

Please do enjoy this new engagement with our archive; we really look forward to your additions and to taking one step further to cataloguing, restoring and preserving the history of this special community.

How It Works

  • WhoZatFace’ analyses photographs and ‘frames’ all unknown faces with a blue square.
  • If you know the name of a face, click on the blue square and enter a name.
  • Once a person is named/identified, the name of that person will be displayed!
  • Faces with orange squares have had a name added to them but the name hasn’t been confirmed by the School.
  • You can click on an orange square to see the suggested name(s) – and you are able to add more than one suggested name.
  • If you see a name which you think may be incorrect, please add another name and we can try to correctly identify the face!

Codes

  • Blue square – Please name the face!
  • Orange square – the person has been identified with suggested name(s) but the School has not yet confirmed the name.
  • No frame around face – this face is already successfully identified; simply hover your mouse over the face to see the name!

We hope you enjoy this new software and please help us to fill in the gaps by identifying any faces you recognise!

Please note that the software used is fully compliant with GDPR, security and privacy laws.
