Old Badmintonians have always been an integral part of the school community and our annual London Drinks Reunion is a special event where we come together and celebrate our shared Badminton history.

On Thursday 23 November 2023, the event took place in The Lansdowne Club. Surrounded by the festive lights of Mayfair, alumnae and current staff gathered in The Shelburne Room to enjoy drinks and canapés whilst sharing updates, memories and stories. Mrs Griffith, Mrs Walton and Ms Wertheim were delighted to be reacquainted with former pupils and hear of their various successes; from transitioning to university and entering the world of work, to new projects and personal milestones, recent news was shared and celebrated. 

As always, we had a wonderful mix of attendees with alumnae from the 1960s right up to our most recent leavers of 2023. We welcomed several 'first timers' to the event, some of whom were able to reconnect with classmates they hadn't seen since leaving Badminton almost half a century ago! 

For our Head, Jessica Miles, it was the first opportunity to attend an alumnae event, and the enduring friendships of Old Badmintonians was something Mrs Miles commented on during her short speech; it is clear to see how the bonds initially formed at Badminton transcend the boundries of time and continue to strengthen. With alumnae located all over the world, it is a testament to the lasting connections made whilst studying at the School. 

Thank you to everyone who took the time to join us and make the evening such a success. We are immensely grateful for the support that our alumnae community offers the School and it is always a pleasure to meet many of you at events.
