Old Badmintonians reminiscing at Celebrating Badminton Day
The now established highlight of the school year, Celebrating Badminton Day took place at the School on Saturday 30th June in the blazing sunshine. It was a perfect opportunity for the girls, their friends and families, staff members past and present and Old Badmintonians to experience a small selection of the past year's achievements and creations.

The theme this year was "Pioneering and Progress" which was explored in the School Meeting.  Mrs Tear opened proceedings and introduced the three new Head Girls who confidently talked about their development and choices at the School.  We heard many stories during the meeting about the girls' progress, memorable events from the past year and a look forward to the excitement of the new Sports Centre.  Concluding the meeting, former Head Girl Sarah Louise Nunn gave a fascinating talk about her work at the Louvre in Abu Dhabi and how her time at Badminton gave her the tools to embark on her exciting career.

The School showed off its highlights from the year with activities throughout the day.  Music in the Peace Memorial Hall, art displays in the Art Block and ice-cream making science experiments  are just a small sample.

Over fifty Old Badmintonians enjoyed a drinks reception where they rifled through old photos and caught up with old friends.  It is always a wonderful occasion with lots of laughter.  Seeing how much (or how little) the School has changed brought back some great memories for the former pupils.

We hope that everyone that attended the day was inspired by the talent and enthusiasm of the girls and the hard work of all the staff at Badminton School.
