Last week Badminton School welcomed Cathy Fraser (Class of 2001) to give a talk to an interested audience of pupils, parents and the local community about her work as Black Start and Business Continuity Manager at the National Grid.  Her work focuses on planning for what happens if the lights go out in the UK and how to re-establish power.  The talk covered her work and the link with physics rather than politics in the planning for continuity.  The audience thoroughly enjoyed the lecture and had several questions for Cathy.

The Inspiring Evenings Lecture Series began at Badminton this year and has provided its audiences with talks on subjects from a career in Medicine to the engineering of the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Thank you to all our contributors and audiences alike.

Next year's programme is already being finalised and all are welcome to attend these "inspiring" talks.  Information will be available during the Summer
