Wonderful drama this way!
Wonderful drama this way!
On the evening of Tuesday 26th June the Junior and Senior School took to the stage in the Marquee to perform in our annual Fairy Lites event. While the Junior School performed a review of the year with extracts from 'Oliver' their summer musical, the Year 9 girls from the Senior School performed pieces of physical theatre that they had created within their lessons, based on the themes from some of Shakespeare’s well known plays. Conflict from Romeo and Juliet, The seven ages of man from As you Like it, Witchcraft from Macbeth and The Killing of the King from Hamlet!
Each group worked well in creating interesting pieces of drama, incorporating movement sequences, dance and music to entertain the audience. Year 7 also took to the stage once again to perform a few numbers from their musical production ‘High School Musical’ concluding the event with the number "We’re all in this Together." A wonderful event enjoyed by all who attended.
