Dear Alumnae & Friends of Badminton School

We should like to take this opportunity to share a significant development at Badminton which will be of interest to our wider community.

Mr. Justin Lewis, our Chair of Governors, recently announced that after a decade of service to the School, Mrs Tear (known fondly as Bex to many of you!) will sadly be leaving Badminton as Head at the end of the academic year to join the Inspired Group as Executive Head of Fulham School in London.  This is a tremendous professional opportunity to which Mrs Tear will bring much value and experience.  The Governors wish to thank Mrs Tear for the 10 years in which she has successfully developed our School, for which we are all very grateful. We are all very sorry to see her go!

This process of appointing a new Head is already underway and we are pleased to announce that the Governors have appointed Mr Stuart Dalley (current Senior Deputy Head at Badminton) as Acting Head from September 2022.  This will provide a great degree of continuity and assurance to the School and its community, and allow us to transition into the future with confidence.

The Governors and the School Leadership Team are familiar with such transitions and will be taking the necessary steps to ensure that Badminton continues to deliver value and a strong education without upheaval.  We will let you know developments as they are put in place.

Yours sincerely,

The Development Team
