In June 2022, a group of five Old Badmintonians will be doing the National Three Peaks Challenge – climbing the three highest mountains in the UK consecutively in roughly 24 hours – in memory of OB Billie Wood, Class of 2012, who sadly passed away in 2020.

This challenge involves climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon with a total ascent of over 3000 metres and covering 23 miles over the three stages of the challenge.

If anyone wishes to donate, there is a Just Giving page aiming to raise £5,000 for the Billie Elizabeth Wood Trust, a Trust set up in in Billie’s name by her parents Richard and Sophie, to raise money to research subarachnoid haemorrhages and to try and prevent this happening to others.
